The greatest thing about having nice walls is being able to put nice framed art on it, and turning nice walls into supporters of art. Literally. That's what we did with the photography of Cameron Strand. Our first pop-up ever was a one-wall-one weekend photography exhibit showcasing some of Monster Children's favorite images by the photographer.

Lev Merka played a DJ set entirely out of cassette tapes and the live show by Blanco Niño sounded oh so good.

Beach Goth Pop-Up

A series of secret shows went down at 700 Naud recently, with bands Starcrawler, Cowgirl Clue, Puzzle, Neo Globs and The Mattson 2 taking to the stage as a prelude to upcoming Beach Goth festival.

The venue transformed into a shrine dedicated to all things The Growlers, covered in costumes and props from past shows, exclusive merch, ticket giveaways, a photo show by the band’s documentarian Taylor Bonin, and their own decorated 1977 Lincoln parked right outside. Who in their right minds could’ve predicted a drag show, Chinese lion dancers bursting out of nowhere, a marionette act opening for Puzzle and Neo Globs, or a woman jumping on top of the bar and swallowing a sword?
